The COVID-19 pandemic has made technology and digital communication an even bigger part of our everyday life. We’re now using technology to keep in touch with loved ones; for teaching and learning remotely; and for working collaboratively online. Our Personal Training learners leading the way to keep you active

With staying at home being the ‘new normal’, many of us are looking for ways to exercise and keep fit at home to boost our physical and mental wellbeing. Trying to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle during the Coronavirus lockdown is really important, but finding motivation to work out at home can be tough, even if you may be used to hitting to the gym or joining an exercise class. But AOC Sport have developed an innovative way to make it a little easier for us, and our Personal Training alumni are leading the way, hosting free weekly exercise sessions on Facebook.

BBC X-Ray Visits our Leading Automotive Department

Last week, our Crosskeys Campus was host to some very special guests for the day – the BBC X-Ray film crew. On Tuesday 17th March, staff and learners at the Coleg Gwent Automotive department were visited by some well-known faces from the BBC, who dropped in to use our facilities to report on MOTs and motor vehicle maintenance for the popular consumer rights TV programme which aired at 7:30pm on Thursday 26th March.

How we're helping refugees to rebuild their lives with the Reach+ Project

In an innovative and forward-looking partnership with Newport City Council, Coleg Gwent is proud to be involved in delivering the Reach+ project in Newport. Reach+ is a Welsh Government scheme providing one-stop support hubs in Newport, Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham, aimed at helping refugees to rebuild their lives and integrate into their local communities.
