Once again this year, we’re celebrating our learners who have come out on top with outstanding A Level, vocational and BTEC results. We’ve seen the best A* - C grades ever, with a 4.6% increase in A*/A grades and several learners successfully securing places at Cambridge University in September!

Our Career Colleges course is a popular choice for many learners who want to pursue a career in computer networking and digital industries, and each learner has excelled in their studies this year, setting them up for a successful future career.

Wednesday 23rd June was ‘National Thank A Teacher Day’, and what better way to celebrate than with a prestigious Bronze Award for the Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone A-Level Team in the Pearson Teaching Awards ‘FE Team of the Year’ 2021!

Every year, learners take part in the Skills Competition Wales to showcase their skills, and our talented and inspirational learners have won a fantastic 24 medals in 2021.

Diana chose to pursue a Personal Training course at Coleg Gwent and she’s grown from strength to strength, winning the gold medal for Personal Training in the 2021 Skills Competition Wales.

When Level 2 Professional Cookery learner, Morgan Upcott, saw the Chefs’ Forum ‘Young Pastry Chef of the Year’ competition, he jumped at the chance to show them what he could do in the patisserie section.
