This week, we launched our inspiring ‘Partnership Pledge’, aimed at strengthening our industry links and engaging with local employers.

This September, we’re launching an exciting new pilot scheme offering Engage to Change Gwent supported internships for our Independent Living Skills (ILS) learners at Crosskeys Campus, in conjunction with Elite Supported Employment Agency and our local Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB).

This August, we’re proudly supporting Public Health Wales with a targeted health care initiative in Ebbw Vale to deliver accessible AAA screening to the local community at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone.

Health and Social Care learner, Casey, jumped at the chance to gain extra knowledge and experience through Mind Matters - a project that supports the mental health and wellbeing of young people through a volunteer training programme.

By working with local businesses, we find a variety of ways to benefit both their organisation and our students, like our recent collaboration with Loopster, an up and coming second hand clothing company.

Student volunteers working on the wards as part of the befriending service has helped to combat loneliness during the COVID pandemic this through the use of digital technology.
