Our Employer Engagement department were delighted to sponsor the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s South Wales Argus Business Awards, which took place on Thursday 24th November.

As a college who recognises the importance of cyber skills and its place in the future workforce, we’re excited to announce the introduction of our first digital apprenticeships, which we’re certain will be a popular option for tech-savvy students.

Our Employer Partnership Pledge, launched in September 2021, continues to grow and strengthen as it approaches its first anniversary this year. In June, we held a networking event for employers at the premises of our latest pledgers, Tiny Rebel Brewery.

Thursday 16th June saw the return of the annual Coleg Gwent apprenticeship awards, with an in-person celebration being held for the first time in three years to celebrate our amazing apprentices. We had some amazing nominations from both assessors and employers alike!

This Learning Disability week, our interns have reached the end of the first course of a pilot scheme working with different departments of the Facilities team in Nevill Hall Hospital. Learn more about their supported internships in the healthcare setting.
