At the age of sixteen I left secondary education with just one GCSE, I was determined not to let an exam result decide my fate and continued to follow my dreams and ambitions. In 2012 I decided to enrol at Coleg Gwent and study IT Practitioners Level 3 Diploma at City of Newport Campus – a course which gave me the skills and practical experience I needed.

A few years later I graduated from University of South Wales with a First Class Bachelor of Science degree which allowed me to secure my dream graduate job in the technology industry working for CGI where I have now been for the last three years. My advice would be to never give up on your dreams and ambitions, and certainly don’t let an exam result decide your fate – your failures will only make you stronger and more successful in the long run!
