AAT Blended Learning

Make studying work for you with blended learning

6 July 2021

We’re pleased to be launching our first blended AAT courses this September – the AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting and the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting – delivered in partnership with Mindful Education. With a combination of on-campus and online classes, blended learning gives you the flexibility you need to make studying work for you. We know you lead a busy life, but that shouldn’t stop you from learning new skills, gaining extra qualifications, and getting the education you deserve.

AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) courses are very popular with people looking to achieve an accounting qualification or advance their existing knowledge in this field. But as a professional course, flexibility is key for learners who may not have the time to study using more traditional formats, or those who might not like the idea of independent distance learning alone. So, that’s where blended learning comes into play.

The benefits of blended learning

  1. Boost your chances of success

Students enrolling on the blended AAT courses will be college students who attend college regularly for classes on campus, but they’ll also study online too. This gives you the best of both worlds, so you can combine the benefits of flexible online learning with being part of a supportive class that meets regularly with an experienced tutor at college. You’ll have a network of support to guide you, to consolidate your online learning, and to help you progress, but you’ll also be able to study in your own time and on your terms. This winning combination makes the Mindful Education AAT courses a great fit for your busy life, but also boosts your chances of success when compared with solely distance learning courses.

  1. Choose how, when and where you want to study

We’ve put flexibility, ease of access and user experience at the heart of our blended AAT course design, which means you can learn flexibly at home in your spare time, while also getting the support you need from expert tutors on campus. If independent distance-learning isn’t your thing, our blended learning approach gives you the opportunity to take the plunge and benefit from regular face-to-face teaching and support from your classmates, thereby giving you the confidence to learn independently at home, in between your weekly on-campus sessions.

Or if you’re one of the many learners who has transitioned from face-to-face teaching to remote learning during the COVID pandemic, only to find that it suits your learning style and would be an ideal fit for you going forward, blended learning enables you to continue to benefit from remote learning. You can access and re-visit online lessons on your mobile, tablet or desktop, meaning your studies can fit conveniently around your work commitments whenever, and however, you want. This ‘on-demand’ blended approach to learning makes it easier for you to study around your other commitments, putting you in the driving seat of your education.

  1. Enjoy multi-media lessons to suit your learning style

Everyone has a different learning style, so our Mindful Education blended AAT courses offer you a variety of lesson types and multi-media formats to keep your learning varied. Our online lessons are available with interactive digital content. This includes high-quality video lectures which use motion graphics to bring concepts to life, alongside exercises, interactive case studies and analytical tools to further develop your learning. These interactive digital lessons create a rich and engaging learning experience online, which is enhanced by the academic expertise of tutors on campus and opportunities for group work, discussions and debates with your classmates too.

So, whether you’re looking for a career change after the disruption caused by the COVID pandemic, or you’re looking to progress your current career, blended learning could be the key to your success.
