Why study with us?

It doesn’t have to cost the earth

Most of our higher education courses cost around £7,500, which is cheaper than most universities – saving you thousands of pounds. Studying local at Coleg Gwent also means; you could also be eligible for subsidies, bursaries and grants to help you with the cost of studying.

Get the University Experience

Our university level courses are validated by our collaborative university partners; University of South WalesAberystwyth University, the University of WorcesterCardiff Metropolitan University and Pearson.

Coleg Gwent welcomes direct applications for Higher Education courses. Therefore, application via UCAS is not necessary (except for courses franchised through the University of Worcester).

Our strong partnerships with our Universities mean that you will have access to each university’s facilities, including campus learning centres, online resources and their students union. On completion, you’ll receive a certificate awarded by the university, and you’ll even be invited to their graduation ceremony.

No strict Entry Requirements

We don’t have strict entry requirements and most of our courses don’t require application through UCAS*. We look at each individual and take into account work and life experience, as well as previous qualifications.

*Exercise and wellness management requires application through UCAS.
