Are you interested in becoming an apprentice?

Apprenticeships give young people valuable qualifications, vital experience – and a salary while studying; they’re an ideal way for you to start working life.


On the job you’ll work as an employee, alongside experienced staff members. Off the job, you’ll learn through a combination of learning methods such as day release at college, online assessments and assessments in your workplace.


At Coleg Gwent we offer Apprenticeships in:

• Hospitality

• Mechanical engineering

• Plumbing

• Vehicle body repair

• Vehicle maintenance 

• Welding


To do an Apprenticeship you need to be employed and aged 16 or over.  
Not employed yet?

If you are not employed you can enrol on a full time course and then when you find an employer you can transfer to an Apprenticeship – check out our advice on finding a job.
