This 10 week course is aimed at complete beginners wishing to learn some basic floristry techniques and designs, either for personal development or as first steps to employment in the floristry industry.

Course content

During this part time course, you'll develop an understanding of how to care for, condition, and use a diverse range of flowers and foliage.

You'll create a wide range of beautiful floral designs, including hand-tied bouquets, table centrepieces, basic wedding flowers, and an introduction to sympathy flowers.

As part of the course, there is an informal assessment and you'll receive verbal feedback from your tutor in the classroom as you progress.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, just an interest in the subject.

Additional information

During each session, you'll be provided with all the materials you need to get stuck into practical tasks. These are covered by the material cost. A few more items may need to be purchased during the course and you may wish to purchase specific items to achieve a more personal look.
