In a nutshell
If you’re keen to pursue a career in the beauty industry, this course will teach you how to apply individual permanent lashes, as well as giving you a sound knowledge of health and safety in a salon environment and promoting client care and communication.
This course is for...
… anyone wanting to upskill their existing skills and follow current demanding treatments in the industry.
... those wanting to learn a new profession and enter the beauty industry.
The VTCT Level 3 Award in Lash Extensions has been specifically designed to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level, so you can perform your own salon services. This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications.
You’ll need to be self-motivated, hardworking, have a friendly personality and a high level of personal presentation, and be committed to full attendance and punctuality for all sessions. You’ll be expected to work on realistic clients in a commercial environment and also be responsible for developing your own 'client base'.
You’ll be assessed using a combination of observed work, witness statements, audio-visual media, written and oral questions, assignments and case studies.
After this course, you could progress to other VTCT qualifications, or work in the industry carrying out eyelash extensions. You could enrol on other related beauty courses or find an eyelash technician job.
To enter this course, you must be aged 16 or over, with an interest in, or already working in, the beauty industry.
The dress code for our salon is:
- Tunic with trousers and black shoes
- Hair neatly tied back off the face
- Nail extensions and varnish must not be worn
- No piercings – only a wedding ring can be worn
You’ll be expected to wear your beauty industry uniform or appropriate clothing and to buy a tinting kit as a condition of your place on the course, at a cost of around £80 to £100.
After booking your course you have 14 days to change your mind and request a full refund. You can still request a refund after this date, but this will only be given if you meet the criteria from the college fee policy.
If your chosen course starts within 14 days of you booking your place, then the 14 day refund policy does not apply and any refund will be subject to the college fee policy.
All courses may be subject to change and cancelled if deemed not viable to run.
