Travelling to College
Coleg Gwent bus pass scheme
You could be entitled to discounted bus travel to and from college and child travel rates at evenings, weekends and holidays (excluding summer holidays). You will need to collect your bus pass at the beginning of each term from Learner Services.
If you’re aged 16-18 and live in Newport, Torfaen, Caerphilly or Blaenau Gwent
1. Apply to your local authority (LA) for bus pass support (see contact details below)
2. If you are approved you will need to pay your first termly fee at enrolment
3. Receive your termly bus pass and pay your discounted fee on the bus

If you’re aged 16-18 and live in Monmouthshire or are aged 19 or over living in any area
1. Complete a Coleg Gwent bus pass from when you enrol
2. Hand in your form and pay your termly fee: £10 if aged 16-18 / £40 if you're 19 or over
3. Receive your termly bus pass and pay your discounted fee on the bus
Please note: all financial support is dependent on college funding and subject to change. You must meet eligibility criteria. Support is not guaranteed until you receive written notification.

My Travel Pass
You can apply to My Travel Pass - a dicounted travel scheme funded by Welsh Government which allows 16, 17 and 18 year olds with a third off bus travel.
