CompTIA is the world's largest vendor-neutral IT certification body. If you wish to fast-track your career towards IT infrastructure, then achieving your CompTIA Network+ certification is essential.
This CompTIA Network+ course is internationally recognised by employers, making it the ideal qualification for candidates who are working towards a career in the IT or Cyber Security sector, as well as individuals who are already working as IT professionals and want to keep their knowledge of networking up-to-date.
This course is available as part of a Personal Learning Account (PLA). PLA is an initiative from the Welsh Government which offers people the chance to access free, part-time courses with flexible and convenient learning that fits around their existing lifestyle (subject to eligibility).

... anyone aged 19+, living in Wales and in employment. The usual salary limit of £32,371 does not apply to this course.
... any IT professional who is looking to specialise in networking and open a new avenue of their career in IT networking or support.
Course content
This course is delivered by virtual classroom. Virtual classrooms are equivalent to face-to-face classroom courses, but delivered in an online environment.
Course Duration: 5 days

- Networking Concepts

- Network Operations
- Network Security
- Network Troubleshooting and Tools
Entry Requirements
You will need CompTIA A+ certification and a minimum of 9-12 months of hands-on experience working in a junior network administrator/network support technician job role.
You will need access to internet, a windows computer and webcam/microphone

The PLA programme intends to provide quality career advice and guidance to participants before, during and after their learning.
Prior to being enrolled onto your PLA funded course, a individual learning plan will be discussed with you to ensure that the right learning has been considered.
This will include a general discussion on the following topics:
- formal education or qualifications in related fields
- prior experience within the industry or field
- career aspirations
- dedication of time required
- access to internet, windows computer and webcam/microphone
