... You want to develop skills and gain confidence to progress to employment, further education or an apprenticeship.
What will I be doing?
You’ll attend college for 18 hours per week. During that time, you’ll study towards a range of qualifications depending on your skills and previous learning, of which literacy and numeracy will be included. Tasters in vocational areas will be an important part of the programme.
This course will give you the confidence and skills to help you progress. If you’re keen to continue studies post-16, possibly have barriers to learning or are unsure of your preferred vocational route, this course can provide the help and support that makes your journey back into education or employment clearer.
Qualifications to be studied include Employability Level 1 or 2, Literacy, Numeracy and Vocational Tasters.
What is expected of me?
There are no formal entry requirements and entry is by a referral, advice and guidance discussion.
Full commitment to attendance is required, as is respect for others, enthusiasm and self-motivation.

You can progress onto a wide range of full-time vocational courses.
