Choosing your A Levels is your chance to shape your future. So, how many A Levels can I take?
You can choose three or four, giving you the freedom to tailor your study to your interests and goals.
- If you achieve 5 A*-C grades at GCSE (including Maths and English), you’ll study 3 AS subjects along with the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate
- If you achieve 6 A*-A grades at GCSE (including Maths and English), you can choose to study 4 AS subjects.

Study your way
A level courses at Coleg Gwent are full-time and take two years to complete. You’ll gain AS level qualifications at the end of your first year, and full A levels at the end of your second. Throughout your course, you’ll be supported to stay on track, explore your options, and achieve your goals.
