Course Overview

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 mean employers, the self-employed and anyone who controls the work of others (such as facilities managers or building owners) have a duty to ensure competent working at height. This course will give you the knowledge you need.

…anyone who works at height where there’s risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury.

On this half-day (3 hour) course you’ll be given an understanding of the importance of:

• Planning and organising work at height.

• The need to assess risks from work at height and select and use appropriate work equipment.

• Properly managing the risks of working on or near fragile surfaces.

• Inspecting and maintaining the equipment used for work at height.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

This course is normally delivered over 3 hours.

Candidates who successfully complete the course can be awarded a Coleg Gwent certificate of attendance and may also wish to progress to our full range of accredited health and safety qualifications such as CITB Site Safety Plus or IOSH Managing Safely.
