Q. What is Upskilling@Work?
A. Upskilling@Work is a new initiative by the Welsh Government and supported by the European Social Fund, to help businesses upskill their workforce through training. Your business could receive up to 70% off training costs through funding.
Q. Is there a time limit to access the funding?
A. Yes, training would need to be completed by December 2020. 
Q. Who can benefit from Upskilling@Work funding?
A. Any size and any type of business can benefit from the funded training. All you need to do is decide which course suits your business. 
Q. Who in my business can benefit from this training?
A. Anyone you employ, any age, who wants to increase their skills or would benefit from training.
Q. As an employer, how much could it cost me?
A. If you are a small sized business you would pay 30%, medium sized business you would pay 40% and large business, including the public sector, would pay 50% which reduces the cost of training significantly. Depending on the size of your company, and level of qualification, the training is between £225 and £625 per person.
Q. What funded training is available?
A. We are offering a variety of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in the workplace, and taught programmes such as coaching, mentoring, leadership and management courses, from Level 1 to Level 5. These are accredited by awarding bodies such as City & Guilds, EAL or ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management).
