Higher education at Coleg Gwent

Imagine getting a university-level qualification, but saving time and money by studying it at your local campus. That’s what you can do at Coleg Gwent with our growing number of higher education courses!

Our courses are validated by our university partners, and give you access to each university’s facilities, including campus learning centres, online resources and the Students Union. Your certificate will come from the university, and you’ll even be invited to their graduation ceremony!

But because you’re studying at Coleg Gwent, you’ll be at a local campus, in a small, friendly classroom environment and, as a higher education student, you could be eligible to apply for financial support and subsidies to help with the cost of studying.

Not sure if you meet the requirements?

Actually, there are no strict entry requirements for our Higher Education courses. We consider each applicant individually, looking at your life and work experience as well as previous qualifications.

If you don’t feel ready for a university level course, or if you’d like to brush up on your study skills before committing to a higher level course, we have a range of Access to HE courses to set you on your chosen path.

Coleg Gwent is a collaborative partner of the  University of South WalesAberystwyth University, the University of WorcesterCardiff Metropolitan University and Pearson.

Coleg Gwent welcomes direct applications for Higher Education courses. Therefore, application via UCAS is not necessary (except for courses franchised through University of Worcester).
