Course Overview
This course provides grounding on Vehicle Refinishing Operations, to provide a head start in the industry.
… You have completed the Level 2 Accident Repair (Paint Principles) course.
… You have experience in the Vehicle Refinishing industry.
… You want to expand your skills and knowledge.
This course follows on from the Level 2 Accident Repair (Paint Principles) full-time course and focuses on 3 main units:
- Vehicle Paint Colour Matching
- Vehicle Top Coat Refinishing Operations
- Advanced Paint Defects
This course is delivered through a blend of the following:
- Practical demonstrations
- Realistic working tasks
- Lectures to develop foundation knowledge
- Assignment work
You will be assessed via practical and online assessments, oral and written questions, and upon completion you will achieve:
- Level 3 Accident Repair (Paint Principles)
- Appropriate supporting qualifications to broaden your skill set and meet the needs of the industry
- Skills Activities
- Maths and English
Employment in the Automotive industry or an Apprenticeship in Vehicle Body Repair.
- Successful completion of Level 2 Accident Repair (Paint Principles)
- 4 GCSEs grade D or above, to include Maths, English and Science (or Welsh as a first language)
You will need Personal Protective Equipment, such as boots and overalls, at a cost of approximately £40.00. You will also need to supply your own stationery.
