Course Overview
This course provides you with professional status in counselling, and adds to your existing skills and knowledge to develop a wider understanding of the field, with emphasis on experience through a placement.
The course is delivered over 2 years.
…anyone whose work might involve counselling, such as nursing, teaching, social or voluntary work, the police or armed forces.
You are expected to have secured a counselling placement and be ready to work clinically with the public in a counselling capacity. You are expected to engage with all aspects of the course and respond to classroom-based tasks and discussion with professionalism and a non-judgemental approach. There is an expectation that applicants engage in personal therapy to maintain ethical suitability.
Further study at a higher level or private practice as a counsellor.
You’ll need to have passed a Level 2 and 3 AIM Counselling qualification.
Suitability for study will be considered by interview process.
As part of the course, you’ll need to undertake a minimum of 100 hours of supervised counselling practice within the two-year period. All students are required to undertake clinical supervision as part of their placement; this may need to be self-funded depending on the placement. Your placement may require you to complete a DBS check at your own cost.

Payment of the £1115.00 fee is split over 2 years as follows:
Year 1: Sept 26 Registration £165.00 Tuition £490.000 Payment due in Year 1 (Sept 26) – £655.00
Year 2: Sept 27 Tuition £460.00 Payment due in Year 2 (Sept 27) – £460
