Course Overview
This course offers an exciting introduction to the Travel and Tourism industry, combining three nationally recognised qualifications: the NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Travel and Tourism, the Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Cabin Crew, and the Agored Level 1 Extended Certificate in Wales, Europe and the World. Learners will explore how the travel and tourism sector operates, develop an understanding of destinations in Wales, Europe and beyond, and gain insight into the roles, responsibilities and professional standards of cabin crew. The course builds practical skills such as customer service, communication and teamwork, while supporting progression to further study, training or employment within travel, tourism and aviation-related careers.

You will study a range of units designed to give you a strong introduction to the travel, tourism and cabin crew industries. Learning will combine classroom-based activities, practical tasks, group work and independent study.
As part of the NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Travel and Tourism, you will:

Explore the structure of the travel and tourism industry and the range of job roles available

Learn about different types of tourism and how they impact destinations

Develop customer service and communication skills used in travel and tourism settings

Understand health, safety and security within the industry
Through the Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Cabin Crew, you will:

Learn about the role and responsibilities of cabin crew

Develop professional standards, presentation and teamwork skills expected in aviation

Understand passenger care, safety procedures and in-flight service

Build confidence in communication, problem-solving and dealing with customers
As part of the Agored Level 1 Extended Certificate in Wales, Europe and the World, you will:

Study key geographical features of Wales, Europe and global destinations

Explore cultures, traditions and tourism attractions in different countries

Develop map-reading, research and presentation skills

Gain an understanding of how global travel connects people, places and economies
Throughout the course, you will also:

Take part in practical activities, projects and presentations and trips.

Build transferable skills such as teamwork, time management and independent learning

Prepare for progression to Level 2 Travel and Tourism or employment in travel, tourism and related sectors
You will be expected to attend lessons regularly and arrive on time, ready to learn and take part in activities. A positive attitude, willingness to try new things and respect for others are essential throughout the course.
You should be prepared to participate in group work, discussions, presentations and practical tasks, as well as complete classwork and homework to meet assessment deadlines. Good organisation, time management and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team will help you succeed.
You will also be expected to follow college policies on behaviour, uniform code and health and safety, and to demonstrate professional standards, particularly when studying cabin crew and customer service units. Being open to feedback and committed to developing your skills and confidence will support your progress on the course and into future study or employment.
NCFE Level 2 Travel and Tourism
To enter the course you will need a minimum of 3 GCSEs grade E or above including English Language and Maths/Numeracy or Essential Skills at Entry 3/Level 1
Full time learners will be required to purchase a uniform which will cost approximately £90.00 as well as pay for trips and visits which will cost approximately £100 – 150.
