Course Overview
There are many potential hazards working on site, and this course provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.
you are working in the construction and civil engineering industry
you are looking to obtain a CSCS Labourer card, as this course goes alongside the CITB Health, Safety and Environmental Test.
This is a 1-day course designed to give you an understanding of:
- the need to prevent accidents
- health and safety law
- how your role fits into the control and management of the site
- risk assessments and method statements
- working safely and asking for advice
- how to report unsafe practices to prevent an accident
You’ll be assessed on your participation throughout the course, including a 25-question multiple choice exam.
Full attendance is mandatory.
On successful completion you’ll receive a certificate valid for 5 years.
Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
A good understanding of spoken and written English.
