Course Overview
You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and gain a broader understanding of the IT and Computing Sector as well as developing skills for working within Cyber Security.
This is a rare opportunity to obtain two exciting qualifications in one year.
By the end of the year you will have achieved the:
BTEC Diploma Level 3 in ICT Systems and Principles and a BTEC Level 2 Technical Diploma in Cyber Security.

The course consists of a range of units including:
- IT Service Solutions
- Software Design Fundamentals
- Computer Systems
- Networking Tools and Applications
- Principles of ICT Systems and Data Security
- Systems Analysis and Design
- Installing and Maintaining Networks
- Security, Protection and Risk Management
To enrol you will need a minimum of two GCSEs Grade C and two GCSEs Grade D and above. These should include either Maths/Numeracy or English/Welsh First Language or an appropriate Level 2 Certificate in a relevant vocational area with Maths/Numeracy or English/Welsh First Language.
Full commitment of attendance is required. Respect for others, enthusiasm for the subject and self-motivation are the essential qualities we expect to see in all our learners. You will be continually assessed and there is an expectation that you will continue your studies and coursework in your own time.
Employment in the Business, IT and Computing Sector or the opportunity to study the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Computing or in some cases the HND in Computing or alternatively the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business or in some cases the Foundation Degree in Business.
