The course consists of a range of units including:
- The online world (exam)
- Technology systems (exam)
- A digital portfolio
- Creating digital animation
- Creating digital graphics
- Database development
- Computer networks
- Software development
- Multimedia product development
- Computational thinking
- Computing in the workplace
The course is assessed through examinations as well as practical and written assignments. Overall you’ll achieve:
- Level 2 Information and Creative Technology
- Appropriate supporting qualifications to broaden your skill set and meet the needs of industry
- Skills Activities
- Maths and English
Employment in the IT sector or further study such as the Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in IT.
Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade D or above to include either Maths/Numeracy or English/Welsh 1st Language; or an appropriate Level 1 Diploma qualification in the relevant vocational area to include either GCSE Maths/Numeracy or English/Welsh 1st Language grade
