Coleg Gwent - the only Career College in Wales
EMPLOYERS: Prepare your future workforce, today

It’s no secret; there are more jobs available than there are skilled employees. Employment in South East Wales is predicted to increase by 29,300 between 2014 and 2024 (Source: Careers Wales).

Information Technology and Health and Social Care have been identified as two key sectors in South East Wales likely to have the greatest demand for skills and work in the next five years (Source: Careers Wales).

Over 1,000 new growth jobs in the ICT sector are forecast by 2024 for South East Wales (Learning, Skills and Innovation Partnership, 2017), whereas Health and Social Work is predicted to have 44,500 new jobs advertised by 2024 (Welsh Government, 2017).

So, do you work in one of these two sectors? Do you need skilled workers?

We want to help prepare our students to be work ready so why not join forces and join one of our Career Colleges today?

What is Career Colleges?

Career Colleges are employer led education programmes, specifically designed between the education provider and employer to offer courses that support regional demand for skills and training. In effect, Career Colleges helps develop a pipeline of next generation work ready employees.

The course content is designed by employers to ensure students are fully equipped with the skills, knowledge and learning that they need to make them more employable and meet industry demands.

As Career Colleges provides closer links with industry, this helps diminish a national skills shortage.

How do employers benefit?

  • Future work ready employees - Students will leave the programme equipped with a portfolio of skills, experience and qualifications tailored to your sector, your business. This means less time and money spent on recruitment and training.
  • Flexible arrangements to work around you –You can only spare one day a week? No problem! You can hold masterclasses and tutorial videos right from your workplace. Career Colleges works around you; you can specify how much time you can dedicate to the cause.
  • Take confidence in high standards – Career Colleges was built on international standards drawn on best practice from around the globe.
