This course provides a basic understanding of the skills required within the vehicle body repair and refinishing trade.

This course covers the basics of modern accident repair and vehicle refinishing, using the latest technical resources available. It covers units such as bench skills, basic filler repairs, panel preparation to accept paint, and the application of primer and topcoat.
You’ll be assessed through a combination of practical, written and Moodle knowledge tests throughout the year. Upon completion, you’ll achieve:
- Level 1 Accident Repair Body and Paint
- Skills Activities
- Maths and English
- Other relevant qualifications to enhance your skill set
To enrol you’ll need a minimum of 4 GCSEs grade E or above, to include Maths and English at grade E or above (or Welsh as a first language)
Level 2 Accident Repair Body and Paint or Apprenticeship programme.
A minimum of 4 GCSEs grade E or above to include Maths/Numeracy and English/Welsh 1st Language or an appropriate Entry Level qualification.
You’ll need to undertake an engineering industry assessment to help determine the most appropriate course.
