Course Overview

This course will support you to progress your photography in an enjoyable way, building on existing knowledge. The emphasis of this course is to improve skills whilst enjoying picture making and help to develop how you approach photography.

  • Studio photography: portraiture and still life
  • full frame and medium format cameras
  • Cyanotypes
  • Long Exposure and Panning Photography
  • Field trip
  • Project building

There will be a location trip/field trip as part of the course and there will be feedback from tutors and peers on a weekly basis, via slideshow, of student imagery with a group critique.

Previous experience is necessary; you should have a genuine interest in the subject and a commitment to photograph subjects outside of college course hours. Access to a digital camera is necessary.

It is essential that you own or have regular access to a DSLR or Mirrorless camera that you are confident using.
