This course takes complete beginners through the basic skills of barbering including scissor and clipper techniques; and covers hair cutting, beard shaping and facial grooming.

This course will help you understand men’s grooming fashions and introduce you to a range of techniques and services offered by the modern barber.
What you’ll learn:
- Basic comb, scissors and clipper skills
- Client care and consultation
- Equipment care and safety
- Cut, trim and style hair, beards and moustaches
There are no formal requirements, just an interest in learning barbering skills
You’ll be advised about the purchase of equipment and blocks to practice your skills, during the first week of the course.
After successful completion of the course, if you would like to continue developing your skillset you can progress onto the Level 2 NVQ Barbering course.
