What will I be doing?
This course covers the basics of modern accident repair and vehicle refinishing, using the latest technical resources available. It covers units such as bench skills, basic filler repairs, panel preparation to accept paint, and the application of primer and topcoat.
You’ll be assessed through a combination of practical, written and Moodle knowledge tests throughout the year. Upon completion, you’ll achieve:
- Level 1 Accident Repair Body and Paint
- Skills Activities
- Maths and English
- Other relevant qualifications to enhance your skill set
What is expected of me?
To enrol you’ll need a minimum of 4 GCSEs grade E or above, to include Maths and English at grade E or above (or Welsh as a first language)
What comes next?
Level 2 Accident Repair Body and Paint or Apprenticeship programme.
Additional information
You’ll need to undertake an engineering industry assessment to help determine the most appropriate course.
