A minimum of four GCSEs grade D or above to include either maths/numeracy or English/Welsh First Language; or an appropriate Level 1 Diploma qualification in the relevant vocational area to include either GCSE Maths/Numeracy or English/Welsh First Language grade at grade D or above.

What will I be doing?
You’ll cover a range of units across the different creative disciplines. These include:
- Art & Design
- Craft
- Music, Performance & Events
- Media & Photography
- Employability
You'll develop techniques and build on skills vital to this industry by taking part in activities such as competitions, presentations, workshops and demonstrations.
In the Level 2 Diploma, you'll study a combination of units alongside employability modules to prepare you for a Level 3 in a vocationally relevant pathway or a career in industry.

- Balloon Design

- Recording with a Mixing Desk

You’ll be assessed via assignments and tasks, practical application, product production and a portfolio of work. Upon completion you’ll achieve:
- AIM Awards Level 2 Diploma in Skills for Working in the Creative Design Industries
- Skills Activities
- Maths and English (if you didn't achieve a Grade C or above at GCSE level)
What is expected of me?
To enrol on this course, you’ll need a minimum of four GCSEs, Grade D or above, to include either Maths/Maths Numeracy or English/Welsh First Language, or an appropriate Level 1 Diploma qualification in the relevant vocational area to include either GCSE Maths/Maths Numeracy or English/Welsh First Language Grade D or above.
You’ll need to be motivated, hardworking and have a passion for working in the creative design industry. There’ll be an expectation that you practise techniques within the college art rooms, craft shop, music studios and media suites to help build your realistic work experience. Attendance and punctuality for all sessions is a major requirement of this course.
What comes next?
With commitment and the right skills you may be able to progress onto a Level 3 vocational pathway in music, art and design, media or games design.
