Partnerships and Collaboration

Partnerships with local, regional and national employers are at the heart of what we do. They help our students explore career aims, develop the right skills and knowledge, and transition effectively from education into their chosen sector.

We’ve worked with many employers over the years, and these partnerships have made a real difference to local communities. Together, we’ve encouraged collaboration and innovation, opened up funding opportunities, and strengthened the local and regional economy.

By building strong relationships with employers, we ensure our curriculum links closely with real-world work and future skills demands. We’re always looking for new partnerships to expand what the College offers, reach new learners, explore different delivery methods, and bring employers together for networking opportunities – making Coleg Gwent the partner of choice.

The Pledge

Shaping current and future skills. Inspiring individuals. Investing in the workforce of tomorrow.

At Coleg Gwent, we recognise the essential role employers play in developing the future workforce and supporting the regional economy. As the largest further education provider in the Gwent region, with campuses across Newport, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly, we are committed to building strong links with local businesses and stakeholders.

Our Partnership Pledge aims to strengthen these connections by creating opportunities for collaboration that enhance student outcomes and address regional skills needs. By engaging directly with employers, we ensure our learners are inspired, informed, and fully equipped to transition into the world of work.

We welcome a flexible, innovative approach to partnership, recognising that each organisation is unique. Whether through guest talks, work placements, curriculum input or other initiatives, we’re open to exploring meaningful ways to work together for the benefit of our students, employers, and the wider community.
