Course Overview
This course provides a L2 City & Guild Diploma in Maintenance Technology and is aimed at people working in related engineering industries that wish to study and gain some qualifications through part-time study. This course is compliant with the Apprenticeship Framework as a Technical Certificate.
This course is for you if you are working in an engineering industry and would like to gain some formal qualifications or develop yourself further. The course is delivered part time over two years, one day a week, so that it can fit alongside your work commitments.
You will study six units over two years. The units are a mixture of both theory and practical and will be taught in a range of practical spaces and classsroom settings. The course consist of generic engineering content as well as mechanical and electrical biased units. The course is considered to have a multi-skilled aspect to it.
You should have 4 GCSE grades at a D or above to include English and Maths at a grade C. Mature applicants will be considered on an individual basis based on skills, experience and knowledge.
You will require safety boots and overalls for this course which will need to be worn in all practical settings.
