Course Overview

This course is a basic care maintenance course aimed at beginners.

If you are keen to work on cars and other vehicles, either as a hobby or career, this course is a great starting point. You learn the basic prrinciples of motor vehicles in a relaxed and friendly workshop environment, over a period of 10 weeks.

Anyone keen to work on cars and other vehicles, either as a hobby or to start a career.

Those who would like to develop some basic motor vehicle skills.

You’ll need to be enthusiastic and have a keen interest in motor vehicles.

You will have the opportunity to learn about all the systems that make up classic and modern motor vehicles including:

  • Braking Systems
  • Suspension systems
  • Fuel systems
  • Tyres
  • Transmission engines
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Electrical systems including ABS & SRS
  • Servicing
  • Ignition systems
  • Valeting and vehicle care
  • Exhausts
  • Engine management systems
  • Vehcile modifications

There are no formal requirements for this course.

During this course you will need suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as boots and overalls.
