Course Overview
Research shows that the construction industry has only 10% female with only 2% actually on the tools.
The research also evidences that females who want to join the industry are discouraged by the male to female ratio within the classroom or workshop activities. Therefore we have introduced our first, female only course with a variety of trades.
This is tailored to suit the individuals needs and to build confidence in manual dexterity within the construction sector.

…you want to complete simple household maintenance.
This is a practical course with all enphesis on skill building with regards to manual dexterity.
There will be links to Building regulations and laws but no exams, tests, or official assessments.
All assessments of practical tasks will be student led.
There will be no Official qualification from awarding body. However, a college Certificate will be awarded.
This course will provide the ideal introduction to the construction industry and could cover essential skills in the following construction trades: bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, construction operations, wall and floor tiling, electrical and plumbing.
This course is designed for the individual to then progress on to a course of choice within the construction industry that will hold a qualification to recognised standards. Level 1/level 2.
