Course Overview
An apprenticeship in Performing Engineering Operations is a 2 year course where you are employed and attend college 1 day/week.
This program provides a solid foundation for a career as an engineering operative and can lead to further education or more advanced engineering apprenticeships.
Technical training is provided in the college 1 day per week, including time in practical workshops.
Completion of a portfolio of evidence
Work-based observations
Theory-based tasks and tests
Minimum of four GCSEs grade D or above to include Maths at grade C; or an appropriate Level 1 Engineering Diploma qualification and GCSE Maths at grade C.
A Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations is completed in the workplace. The Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Engineering is completed part-time at the College.
