Course Overview
An apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance is a 2 year course where you are employed and attend college 1 day/week.
A Level 3 Engineering Maintenance apprentice works to maintain, install, and repair mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems and equipment in various industries, including manufacturing, energy, food, and national infrastructure.
Technical training is provided in the college 1 day per week, including time in practical workshops.

Theory-based tasks and tests
5 GCSEs at grade C or above including a C in English or Welsh Language and a B in Maths, along with three other Cs (preferably Science or related subjects), or to have successfully completed an appropriate Level 2 qualification with a Merit profile. More mature learners will be considered based on entry qualifications and/or your experience.
A Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance is completed in the workplace. The Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technologies or BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Engineering is completed part-time at the College.
