Course Overview
BPEC is a specialised provider of industry recognised qualifications, assessments, training courses and learning materials. The Energy Efficiency (Part L) training course has been made appropriate to the requirements of plumbers/ heating installers and gas engineers that need to self-certificate their work via one of the Competent Persons Schemes (CPS) and those that carryout work in new and existing dwellings whilst satisfying the requirements for compliance.

- CIBSE Domestic Heating Design Guide
The Energy Efficiency (Part L) is assessed by a short multi-choice theory examination including a heat loss and radiator sizing exercise.
Applicants should be experienced installers of gas, oil, or solid fuel domestic central heating systems.
As part of the BPEC application process candidates are required to bring a passport photo and relevant qualifications with them on the day.
Certificates are normally valid for 5 years.
This course costs £170.00.
This course is available as part of a Personal Learning Account (PLA). PLA is an initiative from the Welsh Government which offers people the chance to access free, part-time courses with flexible and convenient learning that fits around their existing lifestyle (subject to eligibility).
