Course Overview
An apprenticeship in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a 2 year course where you are employed and attend college 1 day/week.
A Level 3 Electrical and Electronic Engineering apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with academic study, providing the skills and knowledge to work with electrical and electronic systems in diverse environments like manufacturing and commercial buildings.
Technical training is provided in the college 1 day per week, including time in practical workshops.

Theory-based tasks and tests
5 GCSEs at grade C or above including a C in English or Welsh Language and a B in Maths, along with three other Cs (preferably Science or related subjects), or to have successfully completed an appropriate Level 2 qualification with a Merit profile. More mature learners will be considered based on entry qualifications and/or your experience.
A Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is completed in the workplace. The Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technologies or BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Engineering is completed part-time at the College.
