Course content

This course is endorsed as a technical certificate and is designed to satisfy the theory component of the VCQ 2 in Motorcycle Maintenance & Repair. It also satisfies the requirements of the apprenticeship framework.

All of the 11 module that make up the course contain a practical element meaning at least half of the course involves practical work on motorcycles.

You’ll be assessed via coursework, written tests and practical tasks and upon completion you’ll achieve: Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Motorcycle)

Entry Requirements

To enter this course, you'll need a C grade in GCSE Maths and English, Level 1 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent experience in basic motorcycle maintenance.

Mature learners will be considered on an individual basis based upon skills and experience.

Additional information

Once you have completed this course you will be able to go on to a Level 3 Diploma Service & Repair Motorcycles.

You’ll need to purchase appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, such as boots and overalls, the cost of which is approximately £40.00. You’ll also need to supply your own stationery and folders.
