Course content
The course covers the Metal Active/Inert Gas Shielding (MAGS/MIGS), Manual Metal Arc (MMA) and Tungsten Active/Inert Gas Shielding (TAGS/TIGS) welding processes. You will need to complete a range of welded joints in various welding positions to the BSEN 4872 welding standard. These welded joints will then undergo various destructive tests before being visually assesses by the assessor.
Entry Requirements
The course is intended for those aged 19 or over, and while there is no formal entry requirements you should be enthusiastic about fabrication & welding.
Additional information
You will need to provide your own Personal Protective Equipment (steel toe cap books and fire retardant overalls).
After booking your course you have 14 days to change your mind and request a full refund. You can still request a refund after this date, but this will only be given if you meet the criteria from the college fee policy.
If your chosen course starts within 14 days of you booking your place, then the 14 day refund policy does not apply and any refund will be subject to the college fee policy.
