Is an apprenticeship right for you?
To apply for an apprenticeship, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:
- Be employed in the relevant industry with a contract of employment and be paid at least the national minimum wage
- Live and/or work in Wales
- Not be in full-time education
- Be committed to completing the qualifications that form part of the apprenticeship
- Be 16 or over

Not employed yet? No problem!
If you don’t have an employer yet, don’t worry – you can start with a full-time course at Coleg Gwent and transfer to an apprenticeship once you find a job. We also offer advice on finding employment, so you’ll have the support you need to get started.
