This course is designed for personnel from a manufacturing, service or transactional background who are being considered for involvement in the Six Sigma approach to improvement. Virtually any key business process – operational, service, administrative, manufacturing, design, purchasing, etc. – where the Lean Six Sigma methodology is properly applied and sustained, could return high yield, bottom-line results.
Lean Six Sigma provides organisations with a systematic approach to enhance profitability and overall business performance as well as improve productivity and customer satisfaction. Lean Six Sigma is the most robust methodology used today for solving problems in an organisation. It ensures that a structured approach based on data is used so that the best solutions are generated and that they are then embedded in an organisation. Projects are at the heart of a Six Sigma programme. The projects may be led by a Green Belt or Black Belt but the bulk of the investigations, measurements and solution development will be undertaken by the team members. The aim of this two day Yellow Belt programme is to improve the understanding and awareness of the team members which will result in improved performance and reduced timescales for your Six Sigma projects.
After this Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training course, delegates will: • Understand what Six Sigma is • Understand what Lean Thinking is • Understand the importance of Six Sigma DMAIC Methodology for problem solving • Appreciate the role of the tools and techniques of Lean Six Sigma within problem solving scenarios • Understand the roles and responsibilities of Yellow Belts and other team members • Understand the critical success factors for implementing Lean Six Sigma • Understand how projects are selected in a Lean Six Sigma programme
This course is normally delivered over two days (12 hours). Delegates who successfully complete the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt course and exam will be awarded a Coleg Gwent Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certificate and may wish to progress to the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt workshops and workbased project.
