Specialist courses

Already started your career or know what you’d like to specialise in? Our part time catering and hospitality courses cover areas such as sugarcraft, professional cookery and cake decoration, and industry topics such as Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and HABC Accredited Food Safety in Catering.

I’d recommend Coleg Gwent because you can gain a lot of industry experience here. The college has a professional restaurant which is open to the public, so you can learn to pick up speed and the ability to cook in the kitchen, as well as learning how to work as a team. The Chefs’ Forum is great too, because the college brings in highly levelled chefs to teach us and help with our assignments.
