This course is for people who work in a customer facing environment dealing with a range of customers in any industry. This programme provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed for a career in customer service and has been designed so that evidence can be gathered in the workplace.
This level 2 qualification aims to build on or recognise good practice in customer service in any industry or to support their technical expertise in any job role, acknowledging the importance of effective communication and service delivery.
The mandatory units require you to: - Identify customers and their characteristics and expectations - Identify your organisation’s services and products - Demonstrate how you follow your organisation’s practices and procedures - Demonstrate an understanding on how to communicate using customer service language and follow rules within your work
These programmes are candidate led, but on average, a level 2 qualification takes up to 6 months. Work is assessed through performance at work – the assessor observes employees at work and assesses performance against the national standards. Evidence may also come from a witness, or a log or diary of individuals work. Questioning – either oral or written. Assessors will ask questions to ensure the necessary knowledge and understanding to carry out the various job activities.
