In a nutshell

The Level 3 Award in adapting exercise for Ante-natal and Post-natal clients will allow fitness professionals to recognise the skills, knowledge and competence required in order to work with ante and post-natal clients in an unsupervised manner. There will be focus on the considerations for safe and effective exercise and how to plan and adapt exercise for these particular clients.

Course content

Modules covered:

  • Considerations for safe and effective exercise for ante and post-natal clients.
  • Programme design for ante-natal and post-natal clients.

How will you be assessed:

  • Multiple choice question theory paper.
  • Written worksheet.
  • Written case study/ programme design.

The course will be delivered in a blended learning approach. A blend of practical and theory content delivered on campus with elements of remote learning throughout the qualification.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing achieved in the last three years or equivalent is required.

The course is taught by qualified fitness lecturers.

Course is delivered over 3-4 days (typically on weekends).
