This course is for you if...

What will I be doing?
Business Studies is a fascinating subject that requires you to consider the spiritual, moral, ethical, social, cultural and contemporary issues surrounding businesses, recognising that business objectives are influenced by these issues and there are numerous stakeholders that need to be considered in the decision-making process.
There are four modules to the course:
- AS Level: Business Opportunities (Unit 1)
- Business Functions (Unit 2)
- A Level: Business Analysis and Strategy (Unit 3)
- Business in a Changing World (Unit 4)
The A Level course builds on and develops the knowledge, understanding and skills gained in Year One. Assessment is by written examination at the end of each year. There is no coursework.
The AS and A Level Business Studies courses, normally delivered as part of a full-time programme of study, are offered during the daytime, spread over three days. They’re therefore also suitable for those who wish to take a single subject and are able to attend at varied times during the week.
Assessment is based on practical coursework tasks and an exam in both the AS and A2 years. Upon completion, you’ll achieve:
- AS Level Business Studies
- A Level Business Studies
- Skills Activities
- English and Maths
