In a nutshell
If you’re keen to pursue a career in the beauty industry, this course will teach you how to apply individual permanent lashes, as well as giving you a sound knowledge of health and safety in a salon environment and promoting client care and communication.
This course is for...
…anyone wanting to work in the beauty industry.
Course content
The VTCT Level 3 Award in Lash Extensions has been specifically designed to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level, so you can perform your own salon services. This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications.
You’ll need to be self-motivated, hardworking, have a friendly personality and a high level of personal presentation, and be committed to full attendance and punctuality for all sessions. You’ll be expected to work on realistic clients in a commercial environment and also be responsible for developing your own 'client base'.
You’ll be assessed using a combination of observed work, witness statements, audio-visual media, written and oral questions, assignments and case studies.
After this course, you could progress to other VTCT qualifications such as Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy/ Beauty Therapy Make-Up/ Beauty Therapy Massage, other Level 2 qualifications such as Level 2 Award in the Art of Photographic Make-Up/ Award in Eyelash Perming, or find a job as a junior beauty therapist in a salon or self-employment as a beauty therapist.
Entry Requirements
You’ll be aged 16 or over with an interest in or working in the beauty industry, and need to be working at Levels 1 or 2 in Literacy.
