Computer programming and code is the basis for much of the technology we use in everyday life. So if you’re interested in finding out more about it, this is the ideal introduction.

This course is for...

…those who want to start exploring computing.

Course content

This course has been specifically designed to help you:

  • Understand the basics of programming including algorithms
  • Develop your understanding of programming languages such as Python and C++
  • Find creative approaches to computing
  • Program a Lego Robot and Raspberry Pi
  • Develop your problem solving skills

There’s a formal practical test at the end of the course to demonstrate understanding, which will allow you to receive a Coleg Gwent certificate.

Entry Requirements

All you need is an interest in this area and a willingness to learn.
