What is expected of me?
This course will be delivered through a balanced programme of lectures, seminars, practicals and field trips. Guest lectures and expert external teachers also contribute and pass on their industry knowledge.
You'll be expected to commit to your academic programme of study and enjoy the learning opportunity that it will bring. The course will require you to read around the subject and study current research in the sector as you progress through your two-year programme.
What comes next?
Following completion of this course, you can continue to finish an undergraduate degree in the field of hospitality, the leisure industry or event management.
Your HND is equivalent to the first two years of an undergraduate degree, so you should be eligible for direct entry to the final year of a three-year undergraduate degree in a related field. Different universities will have different entry requirements in terms of the grade they require in your HND, so you'll need to check this on the relevant University website.
Alternatively, if you wish to go straight into work with your HND, you’ll find that you can apply for more senior or more specialist roles than before.
