In a nutshell

A comprehensive first aid course for anyone who wants to be an accredited first aider at work.

This course is for...

…anyone who wants to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981

Course content

Taken over 3 days, this course covers a wide range of topics including:

  • The roles and responsibilities of the First Aider
  • Assessing an incident
  • Recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness
  • Helping a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness
  • Chest injuries
    Spinal injuries
  • Anaphylaxis

You’ll undergo a practical assessment of competence, as well as needing to provide short responses to a prescribed series of questions. On successful completion, you’ll be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing your qualification.
