Exotic animals are becoming increasingly popular, which means there is a growing need for people with the specialist skills to take good care of them. This course is designed to prepare you for caring for a range of exotic animals so that you can enjoy a varied and fulfilling role working with the animals you love or feel confident in taking care of them at home.

... providing you with an overview of looking after exotic animals.
This part-time evening course covers the care and husbandry requirements of a range of exotic reptiles and amphibians to meet the 'Five Animal Need's.
It includes theory and practical elements, cover topics such as:
- enclosure design and set up
- heat and lighting requirements
- and management.
You can expect to get 'hands-on' with practical animal handling and feeding during this course, leaving you with the skills and knowledge to care for a range of exotic animals.
No prior experience is required for this course, but you must be aged 16 years or older and have a keen interest in exotic animals.
The course runs during the evening between 5pm-8pm and is split into three sections
- practical theory
- practical animal husbandry
- feeding and accommodation workshop.
